Nov. 10 Meeting Preview: Free Form Crochet

Free form crochet has many definitions. One thing these definitions have in common is that it's all about expressing your creativity and imagination through crochet without being confined to a specific pattern. At this month's meeting, Gloria and Julie will introduce us to this exciting technique and share examples of projects they've created with this method. Everyone will have a chance to try their hand at a project and find out first-hand just how much fun it is to crochet free form.

The meeting will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Textile Center, with the following schedule:

10 to 11 a.m. - Open crochet
11 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Announcements, show and tell
12 to 1 p.m. - Education
1 to 2 p.m. - Open crochet

To get the most out of this meeting, please bring:

  • A printed or electronic copy of the class handout. (Members: See the November email newsletter for the PDF; we'll also have a few extra printed copies at the meeting.)
  • Some favorite yarns. Free form is perfect for using up those bits and bobs in your stash that are too lovely to throw away, but too small for a regular project.
  • Hooks suitable for your yarn.
  • Tapestry needle, scissors and stitch markers.
Monthly meetings are free for CTC members, $5 for guests.
