Sept. 10 Meeting Preview: Granny Squares and Motifs

Don’t be fooled - granny squares aren’t just for your grandma! Over the years they’ve evolved into some pretty amazing designs. Even the simple granny square can take on a whole new look depending on your choice of colors. CTC member Joan will teach us all about granny squares and motifs (shapes of various sizes), which you can join together to make bags, blankets, clothing and more.

The meeting will be held Saturday, September 10th, at the Textile Center, 3000 University Ave SE, with the following schedule:

• 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Open Crochet
• 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Announcements and Show and Tell
• 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM - Granny squares and motifs
• 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM – Open Crochet

To get the most out of this meeting you'll need to bring:

• worsted weight yarn
• appropriate size hook
