MN State Fair: August 30 Fifth Saturday Outing

This month has five Saturdays so that means an additional chance to get together and celebrate crochet. And what better place to celebrate than at the great Minnesota Get Together where there's a whole building dedicated to all types of fiber arts and other creative endeavors! Several of our members have entered items in the Fair so it will be really fun to see everyone's work - as well as be inspired all the beautiful items on display.


Here are the details of our State Fair visit:

• Saturday, August 30 9:00 AM to approximately 11:00 AM
• If you want to come early, meet us by 8:55 AM at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell, which is the free Bandshell near the Space Tower - it's very close to the Creative Activities building - on Cosgrove Street about a half-block south of the main Snelling Avenue entrance, see this link for State Fair map. (Gather at the back row of seats closest to the street and closest to our destination.)
• If you'd rather, you can meet us at 9:00 AM at the entrance to Creative Activities building (end of the building next to the main Snelling Avenue entrance) - we want to be there when it opens so we have plenty of time to ooh and ahh at the crochet items and other fiber arts entries. 

Once we start our "tour", we'll be very informal - plan to enjoy the sights at your own pace or with a few others. The end time is only approximate and we're going early enough in the day that you can stay and visit other parts of the Fair (did somebody say cheese curds?) or leave after you've the seen the crochet sites.
