This weekend, we met at the Wescott Library in Eagan.  Two new members joined and there were over 15 members gathered to talk about and in some cases, make a name tag.   Virginia made progress on her rough draft. Many members were more focused on finishing up items for the State Fair.  One of our long-time members, Mary, won the 1-year membership to CGOA, congratulations, Mary, I hope you enjoy it!

Some of you already know AJ from our HarMar meetings.  AJ joined CTC in July and has been crocheting for a year.  Like many younger members (and some of the older ones too), AJ learned to crochet using youtube videos.   It was a great way to pass time while recovering from a surgery.  Tunisian crochet, honeycomb stitches and antique lace work are particular favorites for AJ.  Given the chance, AJ prefers to work with pima cotton; he is also a baker and does digital illustrations.   Please welcome AJ to Crochet Twin Cities.

As you might imagine, these next few weeks are going to be busy ones, preparing for the fair, the September cruise and in my case, getting Owen ready to start middle-school and celebrating my 36th wedding anniversary (would anyone believe I was married at 4?).  I will try to post a blog each week introducing additional members, but will ask your forgiveness in advance if I am slow or miss one.
