A Gathering of Grannies
Of course, I had to make time for one more blog post before the end of 2023!  Our final event of the year will be a meet up at the Mall of America on 12/30, the 5th Saturday.  I hope to see you there, to hear about your holiday celebrations (or tribulations) and hopes and dreams for 2024!

Our January 13th meeting will be at the Oxboro Library in Bloomington. We'll gather together for a Gathering of Grannies*see class description below, a new offering by Edie Eckman.  Only members who have paid their 2024 (or pay dues at the door), are invited to attend. You can download the membership form at: Crochet Twin Cities: About Us to bring with you to the December 30 meet up, or January 13th meeting.   Members unable to attend in person will be able to attend virtually.

As I wrap up my first year as CTC president, I'd have to say I am pretty darn proud of everything we've accomplished this year.  You can access the details, using the blog archive (in right side menu), or click the links provided, to learn more.  January 2023 started out with a class by Edie Eckman on Understanding Symbol Crochet. Glora & Bree gave us a taste of amigurumi in Februrary. March is National Crochet Month.  Education focused on the Solomon's Knot aka the Love Knot. April was twice as nice in 2023 as we were able to Shop Hop and have an education session with Susi from Isanti featuring a special join as you go granny square technique she developed.

In May 2023. members brought their best tips, tricks & tools to share during our meeting at the Lake Elmo Library; followed by the Shepherd's Harvest at the Washington County Fair Grounds.  Our first lunch and lock river cruise was followed by the first fair of the season in June. Two members has items entered in the Hennepin County Fair.  July and August are all about preparing for the State Fair.  In addition to the many members who submit items for judging, CTC does demonstrations in the Creative Arts building a couple of times during the great Minnesota get-together.

We had a "make-up" cruise in September for those who missed the boat in June. In October, we were treated to scones by Joy & Gloria.  Their trip to Ireland was also a treat to hear about.   November's destash was so much fun, and our December class with Moogly was a great way to wrap up the year.

I am looking forward to seeing you during 2024!  Crochet on.  Thereasa
